In what looks like (yet) another throw-back to the late 70s, here are some images of Kitty Kat's Nike Womens Elite.
The originals were made around 1976, and while they came out to address the emerging market for joggers, I do not think these current day ones are made with that market in mind. They appear to be made for a more casual shoe wearer, but they are still useful enough to conduct sports in. I cannot comment on the shoe personally, as I have not worn them, but from what I have heard, they are comfortable. The appear to be very light, and I cannot really say much about the sole of the shoe with its Adidas Touchdown-like nodules. The Adidas Touchdown is another shoe from the late 70s or early 80s. There is no Air technology or other hidden features in these shoes, and if you examine the images, what you see is what you get.
As I have mentioned in a previous post, Nike appears to be making many of their original shoes again. I do not know if this is due to a lack of creativity, or market demand. It is most likely market demand, as many of the people either are interested in this look, or grew up with the shoe (when they were young), and now reminisce about getting the shoes again - in a strange attempt to relive their youths.
The shoes were obtained from the Nike Factory Outlet, in Smith Street, Collingwood (in Victoria Australia).
Grip is poor.
